Is there any way to start a petition? It's one thing whinging on forums, but what is they actually get people (IE Ebay usernames) to voice it in 1 document?

I would have thought it would be fairly easy with e-mail?

I'm quite tempted actually. Thigs to petition about:

Feedback system

Stupid search engine changes (Or is it something we'll get used to?)

Any more?

Oh and sorry to alienate ppl but I think a UK specific petition may make more sense as judging by your posts their are different rules for different people in differnt countries

As a buyer of a few things in the past month, I have found sellers have gone out of their way to communicate thank you for the payment and that the parcel has been sent. It gives me the impression that honest people are trying very hard to make sure the buyer is happy.

Name one petition that has actually changed anyone's decision.

Ebay will only get the message when the number of sellers, and therefore buyers, drops. Okay, wrong choice of words there as that's why these new ideas are being thrown up by ebay in the first place.

Maybe leaving everything alone but improving the customer service and better handling of disputes and fraud cases would attract more users, the only problem is that would cost them money to implement.

The new search has probably done me a favour!

I cant find anything easy anymore so i cant be bothered going through the new weird set up.

Maybe it is easy once you get used to it.......

They only thing they need is a toga and a fiddle!

Someone at the bay somewhere must have annoyed a Voodooist or something because I think this must be a curse or the worst case of bad luck ever! :)

Could be a spoof but hay who cares anywho? :D

Name a time doing nothing as affected anything?! The way I see it, if you want a glodabl audiance, and can't shift your stuff from a traditional method (Local paper/ specialist magazine/ website, car boot sale etc) then ebay is the only viable alternative.

Something has changed somewhere Ryan...

:o I have received an email from paypal just a day after I spent some money on a private selling site on the web and paid using paypal. :o

The email says that six lucky business or premier account ebayers will have their ebay and paypal fees completely paid for a year as long as I, and the other five lucky members start listing and selling goods on ebay again! Register now! I'm soooo lucky! WOW! :o not... :(

At first glance it uses the old "heart stopper" trick where you think you have won but then it turns out to be something else.

That's illegal on scratch cards but not so in an ebay "contest" it seems.

:P I read on... Ahh... the terms and conditions are that I must accept only paypal and then some kind of "contest" will apply....

So way further down the page it seems it must be the "best" sellers and the decision only lies with ebay.spa or something..

I don't know how to cut and paste it on to here, yeah I know, otherwise I would...

:o err... is his name Richard? Head of shafting at ebay must be having second thoughts about the "new and improved" regime at the bay.

Maybe with all our moaning and so many people voting with their feet he's dropped his bottle! (Bottle of glass, look it up America.)

Oh btw Richard, Great Overlord and Head of Shafting my heart didn't miss a beat! Nice try though mate!

If anyone fancies posting the rules on here I can try to email the rules to them, sorry I don't know how to cut and paste, resize my photos or do my times tables either, I'm the more artistic lover type! :o

Maybe Richard can help me out... he seems like a nice Guy.

I am fed up with eBay for several reasons:

- Constantly changing the layout and functions of the site in a seemingly random and detrimental manner.

- Continuing to obfuscate the true cost of selling by having overly complex pricing structures (as bad as the UK Govt. and their stealth taxes).

- Non-existant / 90% useless customer services.

- Really poor interface for shop owners.

- Atrocious arbitration record.

- This new feedback business. Which tard thought of that one...?

It pleased me so much when eBay got fined 60M or whatever it was for doing nothing to stop the sale of counterfeit luxury goods that I follwed on the crest of the wave of distrust and closed my eBay store. I'm glad the fine was placed by the EU and hopefully it'll stick. eBay need a darned good kick in the nuts to wake them up - They might be big, but when the EU decides to fine you, it'll fine you and it'll keep on imposing ever more severe penalties that you simply have to act.

Sort it out eBay you are beginning to really stink...!

Fortunately I can now bypass eBay for just about all the stuff I used to buy off them. The reason is that I know who the sellers are and can buy directly from them with a credit card. Everyone wins. The stuff I can't bypass I just won't buy.

Maybe the message is getting through that the new FB system doesn't work.

http://www2.ebay.com/aw/core/200807101200352.html

That looks like a pretty big reversal to me, sounds like ebay have suddenly cottoned on to the rather obvious fact that their business model requires sellers to work (from the article above):

"This is part of our overall effort to improve the customer experience, especially for sellers"

Cue the sound of the Ebay juggernaught backing up B)

"Caution large vehicle reversing...... Caution large vehicle reversing....."

Maybe the ebay shareholders could instigate an "Apprentice style" boardroom session where the immortal words "You're Fired" are uttered ;)

Oh... I thought it was another ebay contest for a minute... :D

:o But I see Lorrie had her hair done just for me! Wow! The only thing is she is playing to hard to get and I have to wait until october...

Sorry love it might be a bit too late to rekindle our love by then. Where's Richard he was more my type. At least I knew what was happening to me with him.

Maybe Lorrie has taken over the impaling department from Richard? Do boardroom politics have a "you keep what you kill policy"?

Oh no you don't think Lorrie looked up "bottle of glass" do you? :D

It seems that they are feeling the pain of withdrawal.

Keep it up Guys, I am sure that letting them know how we all feel by withholding our hard earned cash, well for a while anyway, must really hurt. Good!

UP THE WORKERS!
