Whacky 0 Posted February 26, 2003 He Thesis, As for removing the clip in the bottom there are some special pliers for that. Or use a sidecutter with very small points, put them in the holes and squeeze a little at the same time use a very small screwdriver (the kind u use for watches or glasses) to put under the oposit site of the clip to get it out. BE CARFUL THESE THINGS CAN EASY FLY INTO SPACE and most of the time you would not find them again!!!!!. You can also fidle around with a nail and a small screwdriver. As for the Shock cap: Take some very thick paper and wrap it around the shockbody, Now put a big pair of plaiers on the paper to hold the shockbody. Put a screwdriver in the Shockcap hole and twist counter clock wise. When putting them to getter just use your hands and no tools. Hope it made sense to you! -Whacky. dave.t1 0 Posted February 27, 2003 B & Q do a really good pair of small self adjusting grips, (called Robo Grips) that you can fit plastic covers to the jaws, (called Robo Guards). These are excellent for holding shock bodies whilst you tighten or loosen the top cap. They are also great for holding shock bodies whilst you tighten up the plastic part on the shaft end.
