Easy peasy lemon squeezy, Kamtec Keef has them listed on Ebay right now 1/10th scale in ABS or Lexan

Can't help with the Nissan or the Ghia though I'm afraid :o

My first car:

Sized to fit a FWD M-chassis, please.

And I agree with the Pathfinder, but I'd like to see a 1991 4-door variant so I could make a model of my wife's truck.

So something might come out of this?

Tell me more :( ........

Yes Sir it just might.

Good luck to you then, So would we be talking Lexan or hardshells?

Did i mention Nissan Pathfinder? You'd sell hundreds to the crawler guys in the states :(

Posted
just normal Lexan but a replica of the hardshell.

So you would be copying original shells in lexan?

Would there be any licensing issues?

And not creating a New one from scratch

Not sure. But... do you think Tamiya Pays for licensing when they copy real cars?... I'm really just wondering if there is a market for lexan bodies shaped oddly familiar to Tamiya shells.

Nothing is set in stone I am doing research thats all

2nd pic is a 70 not a 72, the only difference between the 71 and 72 is the front turn signals and grille. All 3 years 70-71-72 all share the same body panels and glass.

With that said, I would love a 81-87 Buick Regal Grand National body or any Aussie Muscle car especially a Falcon so I could make a V8 Interceptor from Mad Max, not The Road Warrior version.

Yes, Tamiya license every body they reproduce. That's why the F201 Ferrari kit cost the same as the generic F201 kit that included a second carbon fibre printed body in the kit. It's also the reason a lot of body manufacturers are now producing bodies which aren't replicas of real cars.

My vote is for an Assie Ute, preferably a HSV Maloo R8:

If you want a better look at body lines have a play the 360 view in HSV's Vehicle configurator.

A lexan body would great change from all the other touring car bodies.

A Hard body version with working tail gate & tonneau top for the scaler guys.

You'll be waiting a while, as Tamiya only seem to be making models based on prototypes that appear in Japan.

Kharmann Ghia two tone please, and a BMW M3 or C6 Vette

That's only logical, Tamiya probably sends a team to the Tokyo Motor Show each year to see what's new and what might make a good kit. Doesn't mean they can't make kits designed after cars made it other parts of the world.

And If I have to pick a prototype from the Tokyo Motor Show, I'll take the Mazda Furai.

Only problem is it would have to be a hard body that comes in a half dozen or more pieces, because of all the complex curves.
