I am in process of completely restroing the old 959 and wanted tofind some vintage radio gear for it. Would the Futba Magnum AM be current for the age of this . I would like to know theres a list or website somewhere to help determine this. I am really looking for something made by Futaba. All i ever used figure find something vintage for this also. Seen some on EBAY NIB but not sure which one be age correct for this vintage.

Would be nice to play with but never being ran. Restroing this to like new going post pics sooner or later get a chance. I have purchase orginal new in box body set nad have a professional graphics artist painting it not using any decals. I dont want to ever worrry about the decals lifting and all that only way to not have that is to have it all painted.

I had these in mind I saw on ebay but not sure if which ones would be correct vintage. These are the item numbers for the three I have in mind 160253807112 330246442153 320264493417

Well, these are great radios. If I was you I'd go for the first one, if not the third. The second radio is what they called "Futaba Senior", and it's a great radio, but it may end up at a too high price.

My two cents.

Cheers,

I was thinking that third one too. Price dont look to bad and to look at that thing its brand new. I just bought that one. Long as its right vintage for this I am ok LOL. Think that is about the right vintage for this mid to late 80s.

She is pretty much done now. Alot searching on ebay and that. The last things to do are to just wait on my painter, the new speedo and the radio. The speedo and radio have been bought just waiting to get them. I wouldnt mind to dig up set of new F parts but havent seen any lately and the one two sets I tried to get was outbidded on them. The one lower arm on it should be replaced got a light nick in it. This is the only blemish on the whole entire car. This car is pristine only way to get a nicer one would be to build one from a NIB kit.
