M-Troniks ESC HELP

i have just bought a second hand M-tronics Sprint Sonik 3. have been told that there is only one problem. for some reason it doesn't spin his motor very fast. It does power up, do the beeping, the led's all come up nicely, steering works, and it does put power to the motor, but it doesn't spin as fast as he thinks it should. will post for info when i receive it. anyone know ahts wrong if anything? also does anyone know where i can download a manual from?

There isn't a manual as such for these, just a help sheet included when new. There are two versions - "one touch" and the earlier issue. If yours is stamped one touch then you need to set it up by powering up the ESC, hitting the button within half a second then moving the stick to full power, back to reverse and back to neutral again. If it isn't one touch, you have to hit the button at each stage of moving the stick.

If the ESC's duff though there isn't anything that can be done to fix it - Mtroniks units are waterproofed at the factory with a resin gel coat - basically if they go wrong under "warranty" (which wouldn't apply on a Sonik 3 as it's a 2003 model so out of warranty) I believe Mtroniks simply bin and replace.

have got it now. have plugged it and nothing happens. red and green lights flash then red on its own the green and red on constant. holding the one touch button dont do much. help help help

To help further we need to know if it is a "one touch" set up. Does it say this on it?

well i have set it up but i have a new problem. steering works but when i try to make it go forward it jams. the steering wobbles abit then jams totally.
