Killajb 1530 Posted November 19, 2020 Random order of RC's off the top of my head that have dazzled me on looks alone: - A properly done Sand Scorcher or Buggy Champ with all the aluminum aftermarket 'fixings' on it - Classic Gold Pan RC-10 - Losi Jrx (funky orange wheels, low slung body and 5-link rear suspension) - Avante (box art or custom colors with aluminum cam lock wheels equally impressive) - Nichimo Spirit FF (techno brutish look always did it for me) - AYK Pro Radiant (gold protruding disc wheels and orange suspension arms were a treat) - Schumacher XLS (admittedly not a stand-out looker on its own, but pure bada$$ pedigree made it demand respect) - Cox Bandido (Kyosho Pegasus). (at a time when most kids had Nikko Lobos/Radio Shack Golden Arrows and the likes, this really stood out)

El Gecko 1329 Posted November 19, 2020 It's interesting to me how many of you like the Frog's looks. I love the Frog, but I don't think it's a "good-looking" car. Maybe one of the most "unique-looking" buggies ever made, and my favorite to drive, but there are a lot of much prettier ones out there. I think the early Tamiya buggies (besides the Frog) were all very good looking, and it's hard for me to pick a favorite. I like pretty much any of the cars that came with the deep offset 5-spoke wheels: the Grasshopper and Hornet will always be near the top of my list, slightly overshadowed by the more detailed Rough Rider/Buggy Champ, Super Champ/Fighting Buggy, and Wild One/FAV. I would add the Fox in there too because I like the proportions and the gold wheels.
Collin 1952 Posted November 19, 2020 Topic since 2008 and no one mentioned the Dyna Storm? Best designe ever! No doubt, no contradiction.
DrGoatboy 132 Posted November 19, 2020 Bear Hawk (but I would say that) And I find my self strangely drawn to the Terra scorcher...
Jonathon Gillham 4595 Posted November 20, 2020 For me it has to be the Boomerang with the Fox a close second. It could be because they also look great together on the shelf. The Top Force and Super Astute get an honourable mention too, although my Super Astute has Top Force hi caps and a Dynastorm shock tower, so I probably mean the Dynastorm
mud4fun 1696 Posted November 20, 2020 I think for best looks straight out of the box it would have to be the original Avante For modified cars with aftermarket parts I'd say Sand Scorcher, especially those with the alloy aftermarket parts I'd also say that when I was a teenager (before the Avante came out) the best looking cars at the time were the Holiday buggy (the original one) and the Wild One/FAV.

GTodd 1306 Posted November 23, 2020 Wow I read through the first page and no mention of the Astute. In my opinion it's the best looking buggy Tamiya made. I mean look at that it's a thing of sheet beauty! I wish Tamiya would have a go at this one again!!! I remember seeing the black and white image of the Egress and Astute in Car Action. Instantly polarized me! 2

whahooo 465 Posted November 29, 2020 I love the Grasshopper. For realistic Looks the Sand Scorcher and the Wild One. And for futuristig Looks the Dirt Thrasher or the Terra Scorcher. They remind me of the wild Goose from the F-Zero Franchise
