Marui Bearings

Hi, I am looking for some Marui Bearings - they only used to come in two sizes, small and large. I managed to get a set off ebay a while ago but have discovered when building my Ninja, I require another whole set so I can't continue yet without them! I wonder if companies can make replica ones if you post them the originals, does anyone know?!

Some measurements would help vastly as most bearing suppliers would be bewildered if one were to ask for just "large" or "small". I am in no-doubt that you will be able to find a suitable replacement from this chap on ebay (joaquimassis), and, his prices are very good!

Hi there, brilliant. I have just asked him if he can help as the bearings are: Small bearings are 3mm in height, 4mm inside diameter and 8mm outside diameter. The large bearings are 3mm in height, 6mm inside diameter and 10mm outside diameter.

Fingers crossed, unless anyone else knows where I may be able to get these from?

If you want original Marui bearings, best to set up a saved search on eBay and you will be emailed daily if any pop up - they might eventually. Marui parts are out there, and some things come up all the time. Although I can't recall seeing any bearings recently.

Yup that was me! The bearings were so old that although the bearings are fine, the packaging was falling apart, well the foam inside the box so I had to clean the bearings to get all the foam off...crazy. I really wish Marui would start manufacturing their cars again, i'd love to get a Samurai! Can they not take a leaf out of Tamiya with the re-res and see how well they have done?!

Hi, ive been searching for the last hour or so on his site, and I think I have found the correct measurements but there are so many options etc, can you tell me what ones are likely to be the same as the ones I have/what I actually need?

can't help you with the sizes you need sorry but can highly recommend using joaquimassis as he is very reasonably priced and my order only took 7 days to arrive from macau. Maybe if you measured your bearings with an older ruler using the imperial side rather than the metric? i know most of his goods are measured in metric which was fine for me as i was looking for associated replacements.

The trouble is, there are like 'metal shield' 'metal shiel ceramic', 'metal shield flange', 'metal shield ceramic flange', 'blue rubber sealed flange', and 'black rubber shield' ball bearings, to name but a few, yet all in the same size! I just don't know what type are the same to match the ones I need, do you have any ideas?! Thanks!

i think the most common is metal shield but i maybe wrong. i can only recall ever using metal shield or rubber sealed but to be honest i don't think it matters. again i might be wrong but as long as the size is right....

Metal or rubber shielded, but I doubt they are flanged (unless anyone knows different) and I wouldn't bother with ceramic balls unless you intend to attempt some land speed record!
