Guys

I wanna run my King Blackfoot on the parking lot (my office parking lot). I did it several time with all stock KB. After a while I wanna make it better. Here's what I want:

-Fast (fast for the KB, not like nitro cars and stuff).

-More stable.

Can you Guys give me opinion about what parts should I replace/use or maybe you Guys have other ideas, I'm open to it.

One more thing,

What lexan body can I use on my KB ? I want a nice looking and how can I mount it since the KB have a fixed height body mount ?

(When mounting, I want a neat instalation, its OK to modified something, but I dont like the "messed up/looks bad" way.

Thanks Guys.

Hi! I have a king blackfoot and i change some things to make it faster... you may consider to install bearings, a modified motor( mine is 17 x 2 and is very good)and of course an esc. That's about velocity. About the stability you can consider to change stock shocks with oil shocks and put new tires on it. I have masher tires and they are surely better than the stock tires, but if you use it in the parking lot you can consider on road low profile tires( road rage, road hawg etc)

About a lexan body i put a pro-line ford f-150.i'm not sure if it's still available but it's ok for the Stampede and for the KB, you only need to drill the holes without changing the original body mount. If you want to have an idea i post a movie of my KB( sorry, still no pics in the showroom). Hope it can help! Ciao

Hey I'm glad this thread came up. I'm finally getting around to running my KB and find the steering is horrible. I bought the kit used (barely) but in great shape, owever, the servo saver has so much slack in it the truck wanders wherever it wants to go, and reverse is a joke completely. lol Is there anything I can do to stiffen up the steering so it's a bit more precise (like having any precision at all)?

I bought some BPM oil shocks off ebay which work better, are threaded and have slighlty onger travel, and the truck is fully ball-raced. My only complaint is the shoddy steering. Any thoughts? Thanks.

About the shock, i put in the rear some big oil shock made by Mantua Model (an italian brand) and in the front i put some others maybe from thunder tiger, but don't like then to much. so i changed and put the rear shocks on my blitzer beetle and they fit perfect, while for my KB i ordered 4 aluminum shocks made by hot bodies and i hope they fit right. Surely theey are good for the e-maxx or hpi mt and i think the lenght is right for the king blackfoot. About the servo saver i agree with you, ZenMoto, it's terrible but only during the reverse. I have no idea on how to replace it, but i think is a part of the fun-factor given by the KB[:)]

Sorry if my english isn't always correct.[:I]

Hey guys

I also have a KBF, it has ballbearings, team orion 17*2 motor and esc. I have addressed the steering problem by mounting the servo in the middle instead of on the left side of the chassis, and put a tiewrap around the servo saver. It works excellently.

cheers
