Howdy Y'all! :(

I've been away from the RC thang since the middle of '07 (work 'n life stuff, y'know...) and I've just decided to get back into it again, rebuild my cars and finish off those projects that I'd only just started. Over the years I've acquired a few chassis' to mess about with. My drifters and other 'normal' chassis cars are ok with the local supermarket's car park and I've got a selection of parks around me to run my buggies and trucks. So what I'm looking for is a decent, smooth-ish, debris-less track where I can test out my faster cars as I really don't want to try pushing these things to the limit on a car park bash. Too many loose stones and bits to mess things up a treat (I've just replaced 1 set of damaged carbon chassis plates). If there's a dedicated drift track somewhere out there that'd be cool too but my primary need is a track that can allow me to test out my low turn motored cars handling and top speeds.

I heard back in the beginning of 2007 that there used to be a track or something near Tolworth (about 40mins from me) but I didn't get down there back then so I've no idea if it even exists. If there's anyone in the South London area that knows of anywhere that's good down here please post up or pm me.

One other thing that might be required is the ability to film there. I've been itching to make a decent vid to post up on TC! Permission to film, lighting conditions, etc., etc., etc. Please let me know if these things are good at the locations you recommend.

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks for the welcome and replies.

It appears that the Crystal Palace club track is closed until next year for refurb (although track condition isn't being improved if I've read the post on their website right). I'm still looking around Google and the got nitro forum for more info on local on-road tracks. All the places I've looked at so far seem to be geared towards nitro (admittedly I haven't been searching for long) but I no longer run on-road nitro cars. Are there any 1/10 electro friendly places?

I'm sometimes down in the Crawley area so if there's anything close to there please let me know.
