Super Champ With Scorcher Body?

Hey Y'all,

I just scored a Super Champ today. Very nice model. Anyway, I have this Beetle body laying somewhere and want to make a "Super Scorcher" runner as I see some fellows in here like to call it. Question is, seemingly, the body clip is the same for both models (please correct me if I'm wrong!) and I would only need a longer front body post, right? If so, I'll start searching for one of those. I hope some Scorcher/Champ owner can shed some light about this.

Unfortunately, I'll keep the Super Champ body because I have it complete with the box and papers.

the Super champ uses a different servo saver to the SRBs, so therefore uses a different post through the servo saver.

The Super Champ body post isn't long enough to fit a Scorcher body post and the Rough Rider post that the Scorcher one fits on isn't long enough to go through the Super Champ servo saver. Cul-tech used to make body posts to fit the Scorcher shell on a super Champ, you could ask him if he can sort one out for you.

Hi!

I still have the Beetle body (1987 version) but I have not tried to use it yet. I now have a GF, and dont have more money to keep my hobby up. Anyway, I think I am going to buy a beat up chassis to restore and in time I will have a true Sand Scorcher better.

Looks like a good fit, the wheelbase is spot on for the body.
