Hey fellas,

I have these old Futaba servos that I need to hook up with a 1990 Futaba receiver. I'm sure some of you have dealt with such thing at one time, but I never had to do this before. What are the things I need to have/know to do it the proper way?

Best regards,

Depending on what kind of Servos you have on your ride, If you have the servos where the connectors have gold plugs sticking out of the connector, then you might have a "G" connector

in which you're going to need a futaba "G" to "J" adapter.

If the connector it's a white connector, then I don't know if they make an adapter for that.

You can buy pre wired plugs from Annsman in various wire gauges and brand plugs. If you have a steady hand and a solder sucker, you can swap the wires at the circuit board. Make sure you get the wires onto the right tabs, though!.

I been going through their site -nowhere to find the pre-wired plugs you mention. :-(

I wonder if anybody out there has changed the servo plugs?

You have a nice week.

I bought a couple of junk $5 chinese servos and cut the wires and plugs from them. You'd never use the servos in anything they are that bad, but the wires and plugs were good. I fitted them to vintage Acoms servos so that I could plug the servos into a Futaba R122JE receiver. Dismantled the servo and soldered to the circuit board. All works great though the servos are a touch slow to what I'm used to.
