Hi,

I have seen on eBay that there is an HPI Ford F150 lightning body which is 200mm wide. I know my TT-01 is 190mm wide but it's only going to be 5mm overhang each side. Would this fit or not?

I really like the look of these trucks but I haven't got the right chassis. Please could you tell me if the TT-01 chassis and the f150 chassis are similar.

Many thanks,

Sam

If it is that Tamiya bodyshell then it will be 190mm and the seller will be wrong. If it is HPI however, then it is indeed 200mm and will look a bit silly on TT-01. The wheels will be massively inside the arches and even with offset wheels and spacers it could still look a bit odd. It's best to stick to 190mm because of this.

I agree with mr pushrod that you shouldn't put 200mm bodies on 190mm chassis. I have a tt-01, however, and the 190m saleen body I bought was also a little too wide with 24mm wheels without offset, which makes me think the chassis is around 185 mm wide. Therefor I put the enzo wheels (offset +4) on and now it is alright. There are more tamiya wheels available with an offset, or you could try extra wide wheels and tyres like 28 or 30 mm.
