Vintage Hilux Restoration

Just a couple of pics of my Hilux resto , nearly finished.Many new parts on this one ,- transmission / motor / transistor speedo / chassis members / rear bumper mounts / rear bumper/ dampers all round etc. Used / excellent radio box tub from Timiya .Custom front bumper needs to be finished and polished , outer bar to be chromed , custom bumper uprights by Twinset , alloy mirror by Cultech. New chrome roll bar to be fitted /spots to be refurbished All parts have been polished .I hope you like it

That's looking really nice Kev, did you manage to get some period radio gear yet ?

I can imagine the amount of elbow grease you put in, but the results are worth it. I will be the first to admit, restoration works are not my cup of tea, however one don't get the result without the work put in, so I always appreciate guys buying a beater and turn it around.

Thanks Russ .Well the radio gear is slow to come by .But i did get that AS3 from Timiya .Still need that ARA 427 of yours (there must be trade you want for it LOL) .I manged to repair one of my AS2's so i now have 2 spare AS2's for my Blazer when i restore that and i will need another AS3 for it (why do i do this to myself?) Its satisfying when you get them though.
