'Cus I have! :D

Freshly installed this afternoon, along with 2 new Sport Tuned motors. Plus some funky IMEX tractor pull tyres.

Oh boy that's given my Bullhead a lot more oomph.

Its pulling wheelies with a half charged 1800 NiCd battery...

The wiring is a bit of a stretch, but some clever tucking it away got round the problem. The ESC is stuck on an old MSC base with velcro. I had to swap one motor's leads round, but becuase I used stick Sport Tuned they don't need to be zero timed.

BTW, that lovely chromed battery tray is a proper old CCP one, not the Ebay repro rubbish we've been recently slagging off here  Bully is happy with the attention, and I'm very pleased with the result. B)

Nice Bull you got there. I have the same ESC. I got it from the new Tamiya dualhunter kit I purchased recently. Havent tried it yet. But from what you posted, it is a nice reliable ESC. Not to mention inexpensive. Forward, Reverse and brakes baby! oh yeah!

Cool! I might have to do the same to my old clod.

Those tyres look great too

It is rated for up to - 2 sports tuned motor only.

I am not sure how many turns does a sports tuned motor have. I also see there are 2 version of it...black and dark green(?).

How come your chassis is black? Fantastic looking example of a Bullhead. I'd be ashamed to show you mine. Especially as I snapped off the front bumper mounts. Why do you have a servo mounted infront of the ESC? What purpose does that serve?

Thanks

My guess is the servo was for the Mechanical Speed Controller & somebody was too excited to run the truck to remove it :(.

Forgot to post my experience with this ESC. I had one installed in my new built juggernaut. A few weeks ago, I was kind of just messing around the living room and crawling over my kids (my 2 little boys weren't hurt, they even volunteered to be the obstacles to crawl over). Anyways, while crawling over them for a few minutes...my youngest son suddenly said "there is smoke coming out". I saw the smoke coming out of the body and I hastily pulled out the battery pack. But unfortunately, the ESC casing is already deformed and it is quite hot! Plastic melting stinks, lol. I must have been pushing the ESC too much. It must only be good with real running or bashing.

That sucks! Possibly could have been a one off electrical fault inside the ESC?

I've never tried these, both of mine still have the MSC's

My brother runs this esc, he has not had any problems with it since he got it about 4 months ago. This esc is fantastic for whellies too! so far it has stood up to flat out running, slow crawls and nasty wheelies ......so far.....

If that chassis is not sprayed it is from a Clod. I have a Clod with the red Bull chassis and a Bull with a black Clod chassis.

I might consider getting one of those ESC now. Not in to a lot of twin engined bashing so would do well for me.
