1/8 Scale Wheel Question

Recommended Posts

I have a compagnucci 1/8 petrol (not nitro) car that came off ebay a couple of years ago, it came with just a chassis, motor and citroen saxo shell, unfortunately not the stylish carry bag or original radio gear. the problem is it came on some 80mm diameter foams, which give virtually no ground clearance, so i am looking for some bigger wheels/ tyres, i beleive the tamiya tgx series have even smaller diameter wheels, so they may not be useful. the axles have a 19mm pin (the pin is the same diameter as a 12mm hex pin) that fits into a groove on the wheel, but i assume this could be adapted to take a 17mm hex fitment if the wheels needed this. i have never seen these foams on anything but my car so i guess they are pretty rare.

i have had the car running but it bottoms out on just about anything rougher then carpet.

i just found that some 8th buggy slicks on ebay have a 100 mm diameter which is a bit big- anything in the middle that anyone knows of

thanks
