once upon a time, there was a nice unmolested chassis...

which weighed surprisingly much, but no matter...

time for ball skills... how much grease? just squish them around in a little baggy

and squirt them out into the diff gear... what's stuck on is more than enough!

2 diffs, DONE!

Bevel gears are off TBe5 but the outdrives are unique/new.

Very similar dimensions to TB02 but uses larger TA04-size diff rings instead.

Layshaft for spurgear... it takes standard spurs yippee! (not like TB02)

Diff & layshaft @ home in their casing... check 1.

motor & spurgear cover is now in 2pcs, so don't need to

take off whole lot to change motor or pinion.

rear arms using reversible suspension + new/unique hubs (not TRF416 items)

Nice idea on greasing diff balls. I'll use that method from now on, cos I'm always losing the little blighters, and can't believe you don't get spare ones in alot of kits.

Yeh, I second that one..

Such a simple idea, but something I would never have thought to do..

I like the TB03 kit as well, especially the spur and motor mount (48dp gears here we come).. Do you know if Tamiya make a version of it with conventional "stand up" shocks on the front??

Cheers

haha, was halfway to seeing if a conventional tower would work ... probably would

but the IFS works great too, Tamiya engineers thought about everything as-is
