Looks like the Grasshopper2 chassis is making a comeback :) This is good news for anyone doing a restore. It appears that the rear assembly might have changed a little.

It doesn't appear to use the shock bracket added to the Super Hornet and it looks to use different parts than the original GrassHopper2 (kinda hard to tell in the photo). Still though, I am betting 90% of these parts will be interchangeable with the older GH2 and SH.

Very very cool.

My GHII is getting a bit haggard looking and parts are not that easy to get. I'm still looking for steering links that [1] are straight :) [2] aren't complete rubbish like the stock ones, and [3] cost less than the car did.

I think enough people love these old school buggies that releasing a new, old school model is pretty savvy marketing.

Anyone spy the new gearbox?. I hope the gears have not been replaced with more fragile units, one of the best features of the Grasshopper was it's gearbox.

Looks like a Mad Fighter Gear box to me but i could be wrong. It would explain the hex mounts needed for the wheels.
