Jedi Master 0 Posted September 7, 2008 Hey guys, as per the titile, I wanna fit 14mm hex wheels in place of the current 12mm hex type. Surely someone must make an adaptor?? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers, Jedi.
KingPin 1 Posted September 7, 2008 Hi mate, my "Rally Beast" Project uses 14mm alloy hex adaptors. There from Schumacher, originally for the "Menace" but fit my modified TL01 project fine. They are the clamp-on type, with the allen bolt and really look sweet. Have a look at the pics..... 14mm Schumacher "Menace" Alloy Hexes 1 14mm Schumacher "Menace" Alloy Hexes 2 Regards KingPin

KingPin 1 Posted September 7, 2008 I bought a whole bunch of wheels in a job lot from my LHS, some are Schumacher and most of these are 14mm, hence the adaptors. Regards KingPin

Spetz83 0 Posted September 9, 2008 Kyosho super GP10 FW04 series use 14mm hex hub.and I believe the old T-maxx runs 14mm hex hubs as well, but i might be wrong.. Are these wheels any bigger than normal 1/10th rims???
KingPin 1 Posted September 10, 2008 Yep, the wheels are bigger, their the same size as the front wheels on the Rising Storm/Gravel Hound. Basically front buggy wheels, fitted front AND back. Cheers KingPin

Spetz83 0 Posted September 10, 2008 That's awesome!!! You gotta tell me everything about it! What size wheels are they? Diamteter, width? And is that a TGX and normal 1/10th scale car? I see it's something like a TB01 or TG10? Also are there any road tyres for that?? I have a TGX and wheels/tyres are a ***** to get so maybe this is the solution PS. Black shell looks great I did mine in black/white:
KingPin 1 Posted September 11, 2008 Well its a TL01 chassis, that i had for a while and wanted to see if i could make it a bit more capable off-road. TL01 Subaru "Rally Beast" Its prob best to see it in my showroom, saves too much typey typey! Like the paint job on yours, white and black together always contrast well. Kind Regards KingPin
Spetz83 0 Posted September 11, 2008 I had a read through your page but it didn't mention the wheel and tyre sizes? I need them for a TGX and the standard size is larger than 1/10th scale. The rims are 2.2" which is the normal buggy 1/10th scale, and I can find tyres for them but they are usually for really wide buggy rims (rear) Did you find any narrow on road 2.2" buggy tyres by any chance? KingPin 1 Posted September 11, 2008 Hi, the wheels are exactly the same size as the front wheels on the DF02 buggy range. The tyres are Schumacher Mini Pin Fronts 2.2 Regards KingPin
