Hey Y'all,

I couldn't find the "who drives your Tamiya", so I post this in here.

I'm nowadays reworking the cab of my Hilux High Lift. I think I'll finish it sometime next month BUT, in the meantime, tonight I tried the looks of my 1973 Lesney-Matchbox Captain Peg-Leg over the empty cab. I don't know what y'all think but I was surprised to see how cool he looked as a driver.

Well, time for me to ask... who drives your Tamiya?

Cheers and best to you all !!!

I guess it's too hard to pass by at that price

But something more scale and realistic would be still better in my opinion

You going to leave it like this or do you have some other rims as well?

To Spetz83:

These rims I'm using are actually very accurate. What I had in mind when I built this High Lift wasn't just the Bruiser truck, but the early 80's mudbog trucks, you know, before what we call Monster Trucks ever existed (the first one to use the standard Monster Truck tires was Big Foot, from ST-Louis MO, but that was back in 1983). The largest mudboggers would go on 46" and 48" Firestone terra tires. Pretty much like the Bruiser's. That means, NO, I won't change the rims (wheels) I'm using because I'm very happy with them! Anyway, just watch how Fred Shafer's BEAR FOOT looked like on 48 inchers back in 1981:

To 94eg!:

Ha ha ha... I dunno how you do it, but that driver really looks like Harrison Ford!!!

To Saito:

Now that you mention it... Captain Peg-Leg really looks a bit like Lando Calrissian. Anyway, supposedly, my toy figure depicts a XVIII century British pirate, a blue-eyed white man whose skin was heavily tanned by some heavy sun exposure while sailing the world away... Those pirates would make my mind fly away in time... Oh, well...

Thanks, guys!

I hope you all have a great Sunday!!!

More pictures. The truck in the picture on the previous reply is King Kong NOT Bear Foot. My mistake. But it's from 1981 indeed. Well, I decided to upload more pictures, now with Bear Foot for you to check the use of them rims (wheels)...

Cheers!

I dont have a tamiya, but my almost-ready ultima project with hotshot body cage wheels and tires is driven by... the associated pilot.

Big guy he is compared to the average pilot found on tamiya cars. He barely fitted in the hotshot cage and would for sure not fit in the mini-cockpits of recent tamiya's without a serious trim.

EDIT: The cockpit of the hotshot body is pretty difficult to see the inside of. but , here he is: Asso-man!
