Just thought i would post up saying hi to everyone, I had this site recommended to me by a freind and i must say keep up the good work its lookin great.

I dont really have much of a collection i am afraid, at the moment i own a nissan skyline GTR 1/10 scale electric car made by Tamiya with the TL-01 chassis. Its pretty much stock apart from a 1800 Mah sports battery, Tamiya sport tuned motor and all of the bearings have been replaced with metal ball-race bearings.

cheers lads i have had a look though and its a very informative site. one main question i want to ask is this.

I am looking into getting a new rc car, really i want a nitro car and i like the touring car style body shells. what i wanted to ask was what sort of models should i be looking at and what should i avoid, i like tamiya a lot but i have been told to steer clear of koyosho as they are a bit slow.

any advice will be welcome [:D]

Depends the Kyosho V1 series are good they took the first 4 or so places at the recent IFMAR championship finals

TG10's are good for messing about with and quite tough

Hmm, that friend gave you a steer in the right direction.. with regards to kyosho the old readysets were real slow and nothing special, the latest one has just been released and has a good write up. Tamiya TGS is always an option, or why not look into something offroad.

[:D] that freind also has a very nice collection of cars [;)]

i have been looking into offroaders aswell as there are some nice fields round here that i would not mind a play on, how much is the twin detornator rich cos that looked like a nice little model.

Hi "newcomer". I am also fairly new at this site, and i must say that i am very impressed with people being willing to give advice and comments all in all.

Regaridng your question about a Nitro Touringcar, i must say that the one I personally would go for, (and also have got myself), is also in the "low-priced" end, but still very well running. The car i am talking about is the Associated Nitro TC3 Plus..

In mu opinion, it has got a very good engine, and is easy to deal, regarding starting and so on. Also, due to the engine size, it is MUCH faster than the car i had previously, (GS Vision RTR).. Alos, the 2-speed works very well. (For me, anyway).

Hope that you get the car that is right for you..

Cheers.
