That's a lawn?

:) Well it's the bit at the very end on my lawn, under a fir tree so it gets pretty dried out. The horrible clay soil doesn't help. I've been trying to persuade her-in-doors that it would be the perfect place for a rockery... which might also just happen to be a good workout for my rock crawler... She saw through that one in no time :(

As it is its great for wheel spins, burnouts and generally kicking the dust about :)

I think you need a few more guns ...as least one for each day of a leap year.:-)

No machine or assault guns or shotguns? you can get gas power version with blowback action vs the electric drive even for these machine /assault guns.

So is it just me or did anyone else think of Deliverance as they scrolled down :)

Nice collection there Bigoggy. Are they all proper air guns with metal ammo? What sort of power do they put out? Ive got a few Airsoft guns like Tamiya1/10 mentioned but nothing with this much punch.

go to youtube and you'll see what some of these air guns can do. airsoft spits out round plastic ball vs airgun spits out lead, some can be pointed and can take down small games at 20 - 30 m easily. But airsoft is much cooler with its scaled copies of some of the real military stuff out there.

Now a days mfg can make things like the real things. Todays action figures make GI Joe back in the 70 looking like toy. Even look at 1:43 scale diecast cars of today vs old brand like Corgi... the newer styuffs are that much better.

Love the Airsoft guns. I used to have a few when I was younger, never took it seriously (just 'plinking' in the back garden with a target or a beer can).

I'd love a full metal-bodied 1911 GBB pistol, but can't justify the expenditure. I also don't know if they're any good, maybe you could advise?

My other hobbies consist mainly of playing video games (PS3) and changing nappies, making baby food, feeding baby, playing with baby... I think you know where this is going!

Bit like this one?

Not metal bodied but Tokyo Marui with weighted grips so it feels good in your hand. The blow back effect is nice and sharp too. Got it to go with my Vietnam load out

Honestly I'm not that much of a redneck... but I do have a shootin pot at the bottom of my garden :) Only thing with 1911s is the mags are thin so they don't hold a lot of gas, only just enough to empty the clip on a cold day. Compared to my Glock 18C which can handle between 2-3 full loads before needing a refill when it's warm. Speaking of the Glock, it got some fancy new clothes I'm hoping to try out later this month.

More modern stuff

PIC_0044.jpg

Took those pics years ago so some stuff has changed now. The M4 with grenade launcher is almost all metal and weighs pretty close to the real thing. Lugging it around all day is a pain but when you unleash the 165 BBs in the gas grenade... it's priceless :)

I know what you mean with the baby stuff. I've been a house wife (or husband if it bothers you) for 3 years now and have a 5 & 2 year old. Tiring as badword but you get those moments that make it all worth it. Besides they're a great excuse to take a car out for a run!

with kids/babies there are no breaks. They rest, you rest and their time will be your time else you will be so tire. At times you'll think not again , but some special moments wil not be repeated again and those are the golden moments that you are rewarded only by spending time with the little bundle of joy. The only material thing of value in life, to me, are photos. Though inexpensive, but it they are gone or destroy one can never replace them. So take lots of photos and store them well. photos are memories worth keeping.

Now airsoft... some of them are priced similar or more than the real thing, which i too cannot justify so i just get what i like and think id if value.

At the moment my other hobby is Battlefield 3 on the Xbox - been playing it online for a while but recently started playing on the hardcore, mic-only servers and it's a whole different ball game.

my hobbys are airbrushing and call of duty on ps3 amongst other things :) im also still a bit of a chavy boy racer so spend a lot of time and effort on my pride and joy which was my mitsi gallant vr4 which was packing a whopping 480bhp until I had to sell it but im looking at something a bit special for my next toy however that's maybe next year now its either going to be a smokey and the bandit trans am 6.6v8 or a Nissan skyline r33gtst im not keen on the gtr purely due to the 4wd but the rb26det conversion is something I would consider if I go skyline route. I have always wanted both cars for a long time and im in reach of having 1 of them so I got some time to find the right one. idealy I would prefer the trans am and stick it in the garage and do a full nut and bolt rebuild but there is something about turbos and dump valves that gets me excited :)

Err it was bought about 5 years ago, no 6 years ago as it was the last gun I bought right before the law changed in Oct 2007, they reclassified Airsoft gun as replica imitation firearms... muppets! Think it cost around £110 but I'm not sure. Good quality tho and the law change fixed my addiction :)

A very nice collection there . I've had a few guns over the years . I too had the Walther CP99 in nickel and the Umarex version Walther CP88 competition model until recently . That 'red-dot' CP99 looks cool

Oh my god the pain! Took my teenage nephew and his mate to Elite Action Dorking yesterday, had a great time and the atmosphere was really good, lots of banter and good game play. But jeeze my thighs are KILLING me today! I though my knee was a bit painful last night and noticed a little dark round spot there. After 10mins of routing about with a scalpel and tweezers I dug out a 8mm thorn that had gone straight in and broken off!!! Still got to shoot a muppet in a pink onesy so it wasn't all bad.

Same time next month! :)

Let's see other than RC the closest thing to a hobby I have would be playing Mr. Mom. I drive Truck for a living and listen to a lot of audio books. Stephen King, Joe Hill and Talyor Anderson are some of my most favored authors. My wife home schools are girls, is going back to school and working is working as a tutor. While that is going on we have been helping out a lady and her little girl as she finishes up her addiction program. We have provided child care and other care for them for the past two years. Before them we took in three children full time for just over a year before they went home to their mother. We love kids, but they do take up a lot of time.

I admire you and your family enormously . Caring for someone else's children who are in need of care for whatever reason has to be the most kind hearted act another person can do . I know I couldn't do it . Respect to yourself and your family .

Thanks for your kind response, I honestly wasn't looking for that type of response. At the time I feeling a bit jealous of all the cool hobbies listed above. I do care for the children that are and have lived with us. And I don't mind helping their mothers, but there are times I do get overwhelmed with the responsibility and I long to be selfish. Most of the time it is a joy, I love cooking and I did get in the habit of making a huge breakfast when I returned from my trip. Pancakes, eggs,hash-browns,bacon and sometimes biscuts and gravy. I also do love working on cars and helping those who can't afford the cost. So I guess I do have a good hobby. Thanks for putting it back into prespective for me.

For me my big love has always been the BTCC touring cars.

I did a bit of club racing and lots of track days which was superb fun, but when my 3rd daughter arrived I packed it all in.

Too much time away and far too much money even at a very modest level.

My other hobby has been draining my wallet. I am currently looking at Gitzo tripod and RRS ball head. If other TC members are into photography, I think you know what I am talking about and those fast prime lens just take the wind out of you after the month end statment comes in. :o

Not as cool as some of the replicas and air guns shown here, but me and my girls have a reasonable Nerf gun collection. 17 guns, ranging from a single shot popper to a 25-shot full auto belt-fed machine gun :)

(And yes, I have modded the machine guns to run off Nimh packs!!)
