Picked up this blackfoot extreme a few months ago quite cheap, it was almost like new. I really wanted the hardbody for another project. I think I am going to put an old body on it and let my nephew have it.

New to RC, and first thing I wanted was a Monster Truck. BFX fits the bill very nicely - tough, inexpensive and not a bad looker. Ballraced it, and got some oil shocks, superstock motor and 20T pinion on the way to add a bit of zip. Not sure on box art so going for something personal but overall chuffed so far. ;)

They are a blast. I built one for4 my wife, installed a Proboat waterproof ESC thats can handle 12v, installed a Tital 12T 550 and 9.6v, better tires and wheels, locked the rear diff, added TLT shocks and we have a great time with it. Its alot faster then my Frog with a 17t.

Sounds nice RCH. Debating whether to stick another gearbox on to get more out of the front wheels but still learning the ropes so might just stick to the parts on order (when will they arrive...?)

After the winter I plan to get another transmission setup and make it 4wd with a EVX2 setup and run it off 14.4v. But for this winter I already have the paddles for the rear and Dubro Airplane ski's for the front. I love this setup, used to run it on my Nitro Sport and Rustler.

Hi, Just installed an old ford body on the blackfoot I got off e-bay for one dollar, patched it up a little and opened the wheel wells up. As its a larger scale it looks more scale like. I'm going to lock up the diff so it will run a bit better in the rough any way my nephew is happy with it and it gives us another truck to bash about.

Didn't really like the lightning bolts so I sanded and dremmelled them out and repainted the body for a weathered beater look. To me it looks a lot llike a low budget mud truck. Still need to paint the rims.

Guess I had to much free time this afternoon. I decided to paint the rims, and while they were drying I put an old set of BFGs I have on. The track is to wide but they look OK I'll have to take it out in the driveway tomorrow I expect it will mostly spin but it should be fun for a little while. :D

Spin it will do too. When I built the wifes, I put F350 wheels and tiresz on it and it was a blast in the kitchen lol.

Nice body job. Just put the Superstock BZ motor, 20T pinion and GPM shocks onto my baby and she looks much better with the body sat slightly lower on the posts, although haven't had chance to fit the Mtronics ESC yet (stilll cleaning sand out from the last beach bash).

Debating what to do with the colour scheme before I trash the body running it around naked (all my tamiya's are runners of sorts but at least I'll give them a tidy paint job first). Was thinking something in canary/banana yellow with some chrome WW2 rims and tyres I've seen on the bay.
