What To Use As Body Mounts On A Custom Clod?

Hey guys,

I'm currently finishing my modclod, but wondering what to use as bodymounts? and were to get them? I'm using a TTR rage style chassis, so I need mounts like this:

as seen on this ripper.

One option is to get some long body posts. HPI do them in a variety of lengths but it's usually easiest just to get huge great long ones and cut them down. You can mount them on your chassis to they stick out to the side, then drill your body in the side and stretch it over (or remove the pins to slide first one side, then the other). Seems to work well. HPI's posts are quite flexible so with a heavy Clod shell they might wobble around - but you can look around for some harder ones.

thnx, those HPI's are readily available, so that's great. I use a lexan lid, so the wobbling will be fine. I'll post some pics when I'm done!
