That's a good one. I've never heard of anyone who makes scale static caravans before!!

On topic a bit more...... Do you do CNC machining, or gear cutting?? I need a replacement spur gear assembly for a vintage 3 speed. I was watching an aftermarket alloy "hop-up" one on ebay, didn't catch the end of the auction, but when I last looked, it was on 70 quid!! Needless to say, I wasn't the winning bidder. Suggests to me that there are plenty of people out there who need one

I think he was referring to a real caravan!

Cant help you there fella.

My talents come to anything with styrene, brass roofracks and steel bumpers and sliders.

Racking my brains i cant think of anyone who could help you out.

Pm Russ 'Blacque Jacque' he might know someone who can hook you up ;)

Dont suppose you could make me a super champ rear roll bar? I have the bit that screws in to the gearcase and protects the shock oil bottle but im missing the back bit that goes round over the top of the "fs" plate. Might be better off buying a used one if its cheaper but im trying to make as many bling parts for my super champ as possible and i think a roll bar make from steel or possibly polished brass tubing would look brill. Might actually be better off talking to blacque jacque but im sure you can help me. Also if you have a block of thick nylon type plastic, and a drill I have a proposition for you.....

OK, first things first:

Do you have a picture of the gear parts in question ?

I don't own a 3 speed (let alone an original) so I don't have any parts for reference.

How many teeth, what gear pitch & what material ?

Spur gears are available from stock with several manufacturers, usually in steel as standard, but brass, delrin, stainless & hardened are normal options.

I'm guessing that someone from the three speed SIG could answer that one better than I can. The spur gear assembly is 2 gears moulded into one, so it vaguely resembles the one from "The Frog". The larger part of the gear is driven by the motor pinion, then the smaller gear that is part of the molding, drives the gearbox. I haven't a clue as to what pitch the gears are. The Blazing Blazer I need it for is my first vintage 3 speed, so it's very much a learning curve for me.

Thanks for the response
