I'm trying to sell my TB-02 because I have no place to run a touring car, but I wasn't able to get anyone interested on ebay. The thing is, it is about a month old, barely ran and I have over $250 worth of hop-ups into it ...I keep getting offers for $175, or "$200 all in, including shipping and handling." :)

Would I be better off putting it back together as stock and selling the hop-ups seperately? I didn't want to go through that much hassle, frankly I'm surprised with so many people racing them that I'm not getting better offers ...or am I really asking too much (I had my reserve set at $200)?

What do you guys think? I want to sell it to put the money towards a truck (which I can run where I live) but I just can't flush more than $150 on a new car! [:(]

Thanks!

i personally dont put a reserve on it some folks get turned off on the idea of sellers having a reserve unless its a high vintage item. If you put no reserve and let it be most of the time most folks will battle it out and you usually (seller) most of the time get more money out of it. I did it many times myself I put a reserve on a item and it didnt sell, but then I reslited it with no reserve and it goes way past my reserve. Ebay is weird that way........

I would make it stock and re-list the hop ups separately. You'll get the true value of the car and the hop ups that way. I have been burned by not setting a reserve and had to let stuff go way below what they were worth. On ebay, people are generally looking for a bargain, so if you want to make sure you get true value, do as you suggested yourself...

That is the problem you find with current cars. unlike vintage rides, current ones depreciate in value. I have several newer models that I don't play with much but it's just not worth it to me to sell them for what they are currently worth.

yeah that happens like when I sold my mate airtronics moduel for a freakin 30 bucks it was annoying to say the least when these things fetch 80 bucks or so the synthesized module at frequncie 75 all 30 channels for 30 bucks. [:(]

Yeah, ...I have it listed again, but I suppose it won't sell. I'll end up stripping off all the hop-ups and selling them seperately. I should easily get over what I'm asking for it as a whole by parting it out and selling the mostly stock TB for $60 or so.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! :)
