Sounds like your volunteering yourself Alistair?? ;)

The grey carpet is an excellent idea, although very heavy to move about

Yep, it looks like I have a "moral obligation" to suppport these meetings as I love the RC trucks so much and have been waiting for an opportunity like this to come along (i.e. a dedicated RC truck meeting) for a very long time. Germany and Austria for example have many such meetings each year and the RC model truck community over there is massive (like 75+ clubs in Germany alone just for RC trucks!). It's only just starting to take off in the UK now.

I'm going to try and go to the one in Preston (NW England) in March ;-

I've had a look at the link Alistair, and I'm interested! Should have the King in one bit by March...........! Preston is a bit of a trip for me though, made worse by the fact that I drive a Mk2 Escort auto!!

Im a member of www.rcroadvehicles.co.uk and Ive been to 2 meets with them at Clumber park, We meet once a month every month and have a good laugh. We had some trouble with a park ranger saying it wasnt safe where we were so we have now been moved to somewhere else we can use them

Hi all just to let you know, that if any members would like to come along then drop me a PM with the days and if you would like to camp. Some info has gone up on the events site today, Wings'N'Wheels news

I am planning on bringing along materials and such to try and create a realistic type of layout, along with an area to run scale 4x4's. This should be a good event and there are not many that are local to us in the south east!
