There were two Wild Willy 1 on the market. There were some difference in the wheelbase, i think.

Which one is more collectable??

What is a runner in quite good condition worth?

According to my 5 minutes research, the original version (1982) is the SWB, the LWB version was from 1985 on, I would guess the SWB would be more sought after.

Values, eBay UK had two in the last month, a rough one that went for 51, and a good one for 86, complete with period radio & all the boxes. Two were also sold in the US, both looked very good to me, one went for 145, the other 155.

If you will ever decide for a runner go for the LWB version, is more stable and less precious from a collector point of view.......

The SWB is better for a shelf life or for very mild and easy running on easy terrain.

My opinion is that a good runner shouldn't be paid more than 100 RTR.

I have a LWB runner and it's difficult to keep the front wheels on the ground. I would imagine that the SWB would even be harder to drive.

Why do you ask this? Is it what collectors generally favour? That would generally be the first model. I suspect you ask in such a manner because you want to know which to get in order to impress collectors rather than the one you prefer the looks of the most.

A thing is collectible if the collector (i.e. you) wants to collect it. That is regardless of wheelbase. Get the one you like the most. But do get one - they are among the coolest RCs ever!
