The power keeps cutting out on my car, ive got an LRP IPC v4.1 esc or something like that =/

There's an LED that illuminates more and more depending on how much throttle your applying and thats working fine, saying that i am pulling the throttle, ive tried the bullet connecters, they're fitting fine and working, so's the reciever plug, anyone got an idea of what it could be?

Thanks.

Sticking motor brushes?? Trying "pinging" the shunt wires, and see if it bursts into life

Sorry, could you explain what pinging the shint wires is please

PINGING: I think he means gently tugging at the wires that lead to the brushes [assuming you don't have a stock silver can or something with a closed endbell that you can't do this on...] and see if they are "hung up". Sometimes the brushes get a bit stuck inside the brush hoods and this will free them. If that is the problem the car should take right off. I would disconnect the battery, especially if you need to use a metal tool, then reconnect it and see if it helped.

It may be time to disassemble and clean the motor, or even replace the brushes and springs. On the other hand, it could just be a small piece of grit and if so, you are back in business. I have had this problem several times with other models, but never with a Tamiya because most of my Tamiya cars have sport tuned or silver can motors and this trick won't work on them.

Tell us if this works or not.

pull out each brush by its pigtail a little bit and let it 'snap' back in

dirt can make the brush stick in its hood = hung brush
