Just at the LHS and noticed a warning issued by the state of California on a couple of boxes. Chemicals inside that (may?)cause cancer, birth defects, and reproductive damage. This isn`t verbatim, but pretty close to what it said. What`s up?

It's Californian law that this warning be printed on any product that contains plastics that have been made using certain materials. Frankly, there's no danger whatsoever unless you burned the whole plastic kit and inhaled all the fumes or ate your buggy so no big deal. It's a big load of BS to stop people from getting sued when some dumb kid eats his Tamiya instead of builds it.

Don't know why it's only CA that has to print this - dumb people running the state I guess. There's no more stupid people there than anywhere else.

also saw that on a motor I bought recently - as it contains lead and other stuff the stae of CA thinks we are going to ingest...

California has a super litigious population. Those signs are just CYA so when somebody comes knocking with a lawsuit, The defendants lawyers can say, "didn't you see the sign"?

We just had a lady try to sue a San Jose Wendy's saying that she found a portion of a Human finger in her Chilli. A few days later I made it a point to stop by and get some food there. I was going to ask if they had any finger foods on the menu but I am sure they heard that one before. []

Anything with graphie or plasitc parts will have this same warning label. Kalifornia is very, very into being the protector of its peopel, weather we want them to be or not. My xxx-4 Graphite + had these labels all over it! ...come to think of it, the door into my ofice building has one of these signs on it in large print as mandated by the state (because we have some spray-paint in a locker in a back room). ...you'd think we were running a meth-lab instread of a guitar pmplifier company! lol

Cali is just a little sick in the head, that's all. []
