Gold Sticker On Bottom Of 6v 4000mah Battery?

was digging thru some boxes for bits i needed @ 2am, when came across this...

yea looks like any other 6V tank pack, but what's with the gold edge underneath the white sticker?? ;)

its a japanese sticker in gold!!

anyone seen these before?

none of the other tank packs i looked at have a double label ;)

uhoh, did i destroy something valuable?? :(

Willy -found one of the golden stickers. The holder of which gets taken on a tour of the inner workings of Mr. Tamiyas factory. Congrats!!!!

Probably was placed on packs exported to English speaking countries. Being a "rarity", I guess it came in part through the production run, or if the batteries get warm or damp, the sticker could just fall off.

perhaps im the only one to notice this but the white sticker is english and the gold in japanese. Very likely that exported ones had the sticker put on top and the ones sold in japan only had the gold japanese sticker.

Or maybe not?

would consensus be... these are the "earliest" packs from say late 1970s?

It would definitely explain why the top label is gold (& same as the bottom original), and the english label isn't. :lol:
