Here is my latest acquisition, a Stadium Thunder, kit no. 58181. It's the old Blitzer chassis, but with some red parts and a Sport-Tuned motor.

It came complete with a Duratrax ESC, a Futaba radio and a 1500 battery and an old timer charger, along with all the parts for the old MSC (even an extra servo). It's box-stock except for the Pro-Line Masher tires and resultant body-hacking to clear them. I took it all apart, tightened up a bunch of loose screws, and put full bearings in it. I also swapped out the speedo for a TEU101BK.

What a great basher this thing is! I can't believe I overlooked this chassis for all these years. I really missed out. It's so much fun to drive! And maybe it's just that I've been driving Lunchboxes and Grasshoppers lately, but it feels like it handles really well too.

I'm not crazy about the looks, but I have a Pro-Line '72 Chevy truck shell that looks like it will fit. I'll wait until the stock body falls apart, though.

Now I wish they'd re-release these, so I can have a new one...

Not quite a Monster but huge tyres in any case and a definate candidate for the bullet-proof awards too <_< I'm convinced that I'll be making repairs to my Clod long before my Blitzer is off the road.
