Hi folks,

I'm looking for a book on Electic buggies and also one on touring car racing. They must contain 'how to' sections with the likes of tuning, gear ratios and race preparation etc. There are two perfect books here in Germany which cover both of these topic. If only I could read German!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me know what you know folks. I'm looking for some recent publications, nothing too old as I've found a couple of books but they were first published back in the seventies!

Kind regards,

Karl.

Thanks Twinset,

The exchange rate for me to uSD is great so I think I'll be ordering a couple of titles from that site you sent me. Many thanks.

If any of you know of any from the uK then please let me know.

Thanks again Twinset.

Regards,

Karl.

I don't look for them very often, but I got this from 1985 [;)]

Not sure if guide books are a big thing over here - my local store keeps a couple of those American books in, even though they don't sell the mag itself

For the basics try this

or_119.jpg

Available here http://www.rcracer.com/racer_uk/n00_170.htm

For touring cars try this

or_190.jpg

Available here http://www.rcracer.com/racer_uk/n00_193.htm

For setup info there is the Xray setup guide, specific to the Xrays but plenty of general information as well. Download it here http://www.balakracing.com/images/pdfs/man..._Setup_Book.pdf

The XXXMain setup guide has a good reputation for $19.99

Should be available from any hobby shop that stocks XXXMain parts.

Holy **** Twinset, that brings back some memories. I remember looking at that book in the school library some 20 odd years ago!! [:0] It was so popular that there was about a one month waiting list to get it out. These were the days RC was really at it's peak.[:P]

Here is a book I have saved from back in the day. The copyright is 1986. I recall when my parents bought it for me I was felt it was too basic for me as I was already building several cars and trucks for the hobby shop I worked at. Now I am glad they did becuase now i have a real vintage treasure. in addtion to a lot of basic information, it included a few catalogs, race track and hobby shop contact info and a complete of the RC-10 build manual. Here is a pic of the front and back covers

No sorry David, it was 20 years ago since I last laid eyes on it and I don't plan on going back to my old school to see if its still there (but now you've got me thinking.......)[;)]

"The remote control race car bible". Thats fantistic Shodog, it even has the original price tag of $10.95 on it. I wonder what its worth now?
