Guys

I heard to remove a tire from a wheel (glued) is to boil them, right ? (anyone correct me if I'm wrong).

I have those sets and would like to remove the tires from the gold wheels but afraid the gold coat would be damaged.

What you Guys say ?

Thx

Mostlikely the gold finish along with the chrome will be removed by the hot boiling water. you could probably sacrifice the tires buy cutting them off and save the wheels

monster beetle wheels and tyres seem to be surprisingly cheap on ebay uk at the moment (brand new ones!) so maybe a new set could be an option? or like shodog said, just save the wheels and cut the tyres off. the tyres are still used today on new tamiyas so they should be real easy to get hold of. hope this helps!

Thanks Guys for the reply,

but what I'm trying to do is to wear out the tires thats in it (start to rot, but very usable, thats why, instead of throw it away, I'll just use it away).

Problems is that I have my Monster Beetle in a non-operation condition, while I have a king blackfoot, and twin detonator in running condition, but the wheels just didnt fit.

Is there any adaptor to use Monster beetle wheels in a hex mount ?

Thx
