I took my Super Clod out for its first action today. I've wanted a Clod since the Monster Truck shoot out appeared in the July 1989 edition of R/C Car Action magazine so its been a long wait. It handles like a brick strapped to tennis balls and I managed to roll it several times oh and then there were the back flips lol but it was the most fun I've had in this hobby so far. The challenge in controlling the monster just adds to the fun of driving it. I really have to get used to the wide turning circle as I managed to clip a fallen log which pulled an end off the front tie-rod but with plenty of spare ones I'll have the truck back on the dirt tomorrow. I may attach the spotlights once I'm more confident in driving the beast. The mods and options for this Clod include the Aluminium front gearbox gaurd and skid plate, DuraTrax ball race kit, twin Sport tuned motors, Futaba HD Steering servo and my own sheet metal anti-rotation brackets. I'm running the stock MSC but I also have a 103bk ESC on standby. (see avatar pic removed)

I did get my truck back on the road yesterday but alas I'm off on holidays today for two weeks and I cant take any of my cars with me I hope everyone on Tamiyaclub has a great Christmas, safe travelling and a productive New Year See you in 2009 !
