Playstation 3 And Grand Theft Auto Iv

Hiya all,

Got Grand Theft Auto IV for Christmas, and was amazed to find that it has full on-line multiplayer modes. Interestingly it appears that the XBox 360 version and the PS3 version are both able to play together on-line.

So... Not tried it yet as I have to wait for the monster to go to bed (due to the content of the game) but wondered if anyone else has it (GTA 4). If you have, let us know what console it is on, and whether you have tried the on-line mode!

I have GTA 4 for my PS3 too. With a few friends, it's great fun going round in your gang causing havoc! I didn't know we can play against Xbox people, shall have to try that.

Have you tried a bluetooth headset on it yet? I've got my Sony one (from my MP3 Phone) working fine (theoretically) but knowing no-one to play against I have no idea of whether it works for caht. Weird thing is that if I set the sound in-game to headset, it still comes out of the telly speakers instead.

Anyway, will have to get on-line and try it with chat soon

I had the wired headset from the PS2, but I managed to break that! Need to invest in a new one really. A couple of my friends have the bluetooth headsets and they say they are ok. Can hear them no problem. What other games have you got?

So far it's GT5 Prologue (and the full GT5 pre-ordered from Play for when it comes out), Resistance - Fall of man, Uncharted - Drakes Fortune and Oblivion - Elder Scrolls IV - Game of the year addition with 2 add-on packs installed.

Didn't realise I had that many until I went looking!!!

haven't played on-line until GTA 4 (apart from GT5 Prologue - but the poor driving skills of other players bugged me).

Nice collection of games! Not really got into the PS3 yet, been occupied with the WII lately. It's just so funny to watch people playing on it. Just grabbed a copy of Mario Kart for that.

Can't wait for the new full version of GT5 in March (around my birthday). That (supposedly) has multi-player with the ability to choose your opponents. I can forsee some wonderful TC based fun with GTA4 and GT5. Might have to start a thread on it when enough people have either game. Maybe have arranged dates/time for some multiplayer hayhem......

alright Steve. will search for you on the playstation network. have the latest gta but not really had much chance to play it yet as busy at work. played Drakes fortune and finished it eventually ( and with a bit of help from my brother one drunken night ) and its a top game. Anyway you shouldnt be playing games when youve got video's to edit ! just bought call of duty 4 so will hopefully get to play a bit online! used to play Day of defeat source on the PC loads but it went bang and the laptops just not up to the job. Happy gaming everyone

Just tested my headset, and all is well (apparantly) as I got sworn at loads for being an useless English #### by a very nice American player

I know the Mic works as well, as I thanked him for his enthusiastic approach to good relations between our fine countries (much to his disgust)

Anyway, off to get some (very late) food. Hopefully be on-line soon though
