Wanted Website Search Engine Optimisation

Hi all,

as you may be aware, I am in the process of launching my own hobby store. I have hit a bit of a cashflow crisis and am building the funds to get the site SEO'd which is going to hold up the launch date a bit.

I thought that maybe someone on the forum can do this for me in exchange for cheap Tamiya kits/bits -I obviously get my Tamiya at trade price

If anyone is interested in this pm me and maybe we can come to some sort of agreement.

Can't help with the SEO as I don't have the time but most of what consultants do can be done by yourself for free, their only advantage is their ongoing experience. For example at one time Tamiyaclub had a higher ranking in a search for Tamiya than Tamiya itself due to NetsmithUK submitting random pages from the site to search engines every day.

In the past I found websitetips useful information to start with and if you want to get more into it there's the book Search Engine Optimisation for Dummies. Obviously Google is the big one to aim for, to get good ranks on there means signing up with them if you want to appear in their shopping results, which obviously helps you web page ranking as well.

Agreed with Terry.

Getting people to link to you, blogging, keywords etc etc. There is loads you can do.
