Guys

Those allen wrench for the pinions, are they special size only for RC cars ? What size is it ?

I kept damaging it (make it rounded, how you call that ?) so I want to buy a good one if its available everywhere (ex: hardware store).

And if any of you Guys are a metal expert, let me know what material is best for that tools.

Thx

I havent seen anything that small in my allen wrench collection bar the tamiya ones, even my smallest one i have is still to big for the pinions i have found.

The size of the allen key needed is 1.5mm. If you want something that won't round off so easily, look for the allen drivers made by RW racing or Hudy. These are much tougher and available in a variety of sizes in both metric and imperial.

Unless you want to use it in some Associated and the like pinions... with their slightly smaller hole.....

The Losi and Associated grubscrews need a 0.05" allen driver.

For Tamiya stuff its a 1.5mm allen driver. They are available at any decent hobby shop. my personal preference are Team Magic drivers. The make doesn't really matter, they are all high quality these days.
