Has anyone tried this?

http://www.jevries.com/images/foilbig.jpg

Chrome foiling using regular allu kitchen foil and 3M adhesive spray. Simply spray the back of the

foil, cut a piece and cover the whole front windshield, rub and cut away the excess material.

I hope this link is ok?, if not I do apologise, but I think I originally found that site from a link given here!

I have a Blitzer beetle shell which may suit a chrome window surround!!

meh, kitchen foil is too thick - you'd be silly to use it on a 1/24 model let alone 1/10

Go to your LHS and buy some "Bare Metal Foil".

Its metal leaf that's already glued on the back, just rub it on and it sticks. Shows up every detail since its so thin.
