I have been into various rc for a long time and just recently started to collect/restore vintage cars.As a youngster I remember always wanting the hotshot but we could never afford one,so now as an adult I have the chance.I have a rough rider and 2 hotshots on the way and am looking forward to starting. My goal is to restore them to original and keep them as a reminder of my childhood and someday pass them to my son who is also big into rc as well.So if you see a newbie with a lot of questions that would be me,looking forward to learning all I can.

Welcome - and good luck with the restorations. There is a load of great resources and advice on the site, but be careful, restoring these cars can get addictive!

Thanks, too late,I already have a deal for a few boxes of various vintage tamiya rigs and spare parts, lol,so its already begun. For me the best part is building/restoring stuff that would otherwise be forgotten.I want my son 50 years from now to look at the rough rider on his shelf and remember how we restored it and hopefully pass it down to his kids someday.
