My TT-01 With a 15 turn motor... Race?

I have a couple of questions about my TT-01, I removed the Prop shaft and Within 2 weeks stripped my gears.. Is that the reason it stripped?

Now for the good stuff...>>

I am going to be buying some parts for my car to make it a racer.

1.I have a 15 turn motor but what gearing should i get?

2.Should I get some special parts since I am using a 15t motor?

3.Putting back the old shaft slowed my car down alot!!

4.Last question... whats the highest speed I can ge with a 15t?

yep thats y ya stripped it, you put more torque on the gears, but wit the prop you transfer 50% of the torque to the front.

A i am not sure, but mess around till you like the accel/top speed balance.

A yes with a faster motor you must upgrade to a sutiable esc.

A thats normal, if your still worried clean the front diffs

4.Last question... whats the highest speed I can get with a 15t?

A i would say from the high twenty's to the low thirty's (mph)

Anything else I should add since I will be racing this at the local track?

A.)oil shocks, more graphite parts to reduce weight.

Ok good! Now I know that I didnt strip the gear or something worse!

I ordered 76.00 worth of stuff yesterday.

Carbon fiber upper chassis

Alum Prop shaft

Small pinion

Spur gear set

Heat sink

and Radial Tires.

Anything else I need?

Can I ask what spur gear you got? Was it a smaller one for more top end speed? I've been looking for a spur gear to increase the top end of my TT01 (similar to the speed tuned gear set I have for my TA01) but I haven't seen any yet.

Just one point - have you checked with your local club that a 15T motor is acceptable in the class you'll be running in?

Other than that, in my experience, your list is looking good so far. Experiment a bit with the tyres - they can make a big difference depending on what surface you're on.

I think the Spur gear is a 51t or 55t? Not shure. I have a smaller Bevel gear. So I Should get some decent speed. I have slicks so I just want to see how the Radials will work.

Is there someone that has calculated the top speed on the tt-01 with some hop ups?

I wouldn't though use the maximum RPM of the motor as its hard to be reached under load, but around 20% less.
