ldgasp 3 Posted January 12, 2009 Hello All, I recently bought an older Tamiya TL01 with a Mercedes DTM body on it. I am big fan of Porsche 911s and wondering if there is a current Tamiya or aftermarket body that will be a direct fit? By the way I live in Canada so buying from GB would be hard for me due to the high cost of shipping. Thx, Don

Origineelreclamebord 45 Posted January 13, 2009 Tamiya made a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (VIP car) bodyset which was sold with a TL01 chassis as a kit. I don't exactly know the costs of it, but should have that little extra detail and better proportions than the HPI's...

federx 1 Posted January 13, 2009 you can't use 997 series gt3 as it's shorter wheelbase
Origineelreclamebord 45 Posted January 13, 2009 ...And the HPI shell links you gave are 200mm shells (the TL01 uses 190mm shells). HPI also makes 190mm ones of the Porsche 911, but look carefully if you're buying HPI shells
Spetz83 0 Posted January 13, 2009 You can always add offset rims on 200mm shells
