I see a lot of cool projects here

Keep em comming

Johnny Retro: Is the Capri body from Kamtec or self made??

It's the 1/8th scale one from Kamtec with the bodykit, wing & power bulge - it's a surprisingly good fit, though I did have to make the front arches very big, and jack the body up a long way. I've "just" got to spray a couple more colours, & make up some stickers. I'm also thinking about making up a roof bar & making up some some lights too.

I did give the car a test run ... the body has a lot of inertia, & can pull wheelies (with a silvercan) going from slow reverse to full forward. I did that until the 101BK thermalled :P

ive used the TA-02 and tl-01 chassis on the bowler if that helps.

Thanks - I've been looking at the TL01, but I'm unconvinced by its offroad handling to say the least, but I might go for a road going stealthed lowrider look. I've also been thinking about a Brat chassis ;)

I've already started one; I got a Pro-Line '72 Chevy pickup shell a while back, and it's currently sitting on my Grasshopper chassis, with the box cut off and a half-finished scale styrene flatbed. I'm going to paint it green and white, and make wooden stake sides for the bed. Just a simple little project to get me in the scale building mood, because the next project is a double...

I've got two Pajero kits coming from Stellamodels, one of these days. One of them will be the runner, and the other will be the really-super-scale shelfer.

The runner is going to be built stock to begin with, and evolve into a respectable backyard basher/mild crawler, while still maintaining scale looks. I've found lots of cool tricks on here I want to try, but I want to try it stock first. I'm leaning towards flat khaki for the body color; nice and businesslike, and I won't mind if it gets scratched.

The other one is going to get the whole nine yards of detailing, including (if I'm up to it) a folding soft top and a full interior. I want to pay homage to the cool little rent-a-Jeeps (actually Pajeros or Suzuki Jimnys) that you see running around on Caribbean islands. My wife and I rented a silver Jimny in Barbados a couple years back and fell in love with it. If it would have fit in the suitcase, we'd have brought it home. I want to make a 1:10 scale version of it, or something close to it.

...That should keep me busy. If not, I'll grab my old Stadium Thunder, order a Beetle body from Kamtec, and convert it into a Blitzer.

There's a lot of cool ideas and project on here! ;)

My hopes and dreams for 2009 are as follows;

Wild One.....I want one! Just want to find the right car, and not have to pay a kings randsom for restoring a dog

Sand Scorcher..... Just need to find a SS shell, and exhaust to make it right....probably will wind up paying a kings randsom!! :)

King Blackfoot...... Get oil shocks, and working headlights

King Hauler and Pole Trailer....... Just need to get my finger out, and finish it!!

Vintage Frog....... Make an appointment with an exorcist- Im sure it's cursed!

Blazing Blazer.....Find some cool new custom made rims, that take modern tyre sizes, then go and find some mud to play in :D

King Hauler No.2.....Find another Hauler, and Tanker trailer, to do a custom build with

Oh, and remortgage the house to pay for the above!!
