A big thanks to Russ & Ed for organising today's bash - I don't know about everyone else, but I had a cracking day :D ... even with my Mondeo looking incredibly 2nd hand & the 50 minute, 2mph detour through Thetford thanks to an accident on the A11 :(

I took 875 pictures (burst mode is a real mixed blessing) - I'll sort them out & post them soon.

265 CARS, TRUCKS, BUGGIES & BIKES !!!

Unfortunately it wasn't quite enough to get all the way round the track, about another 20 - 30 cars would be needed to close the loop. :(

It did, however, make the BRCA Large Scale National event look somewhat silly, when we arrived just after lunch, there was the stunning total of 8, yes, just 8 vehicles at a national meet. :D

I'd like to say a public thank you to all the TC'ers who attended, we hope you all enjoyed yourselves.

Thank you to everyone who helped with marshalling, & reffing the 5 a side footie match.

Also, thanks to Ian, Ed, Neil, Chris & Dan for being part of the organisational team & helping to pull it all together.

And finally, thanks to Snetterton Park Models for granting us exclusive use of the track and it's associated facilities.

I had a great day at the track today! I'm expecting most model shops to run out of Lunchbox spares in a few days :-D

I should be back in Liverpool in about 45min and I'll be uploading photos and the conga movie once I've edited it a bit.

Right, back to looking at the M6...

Cracking day, arrived early on Sunday to see 7 (not 8) 1/5ths at a National Meet.. is that worth it.

Usual meet for me, plenty of stuff not working (slash only survived 2minutes out of the boot of car till it died) Lunchbox is looking a little used (Thanks to Twinset for that one his main aim in Lunchbox race was to hit my Lunchy). But I will let him off for tipping me off about the road closure in Thetford (managed a detour through Bury St Edmonds).

I only have a few photos which I will upload, was having far too much fun attacking the track with various trucks/buggies talking of which does anyone have any Durga spares mine needs a few bits :(.

Thanks again to Russ and the lads for a fun meet.

Wolfdogstinkus your welcome chap, we never used it and it was taking up valuable trailer space, it would only have ended up in bin.

Busy nursing sunburnt feet at the minute, but got a nice cold Lech to numb the pain

Thanks again folks, great weather, great track, nice location,

My only complaint is the state of the A11 and the A14,

there are some big grooves in the road which makes for pretty scary driving in a low 40 yr old car, no trouble though, made it home safe. :D

Agreed there - I often travel to Cambridge from Norwich in our Honda CR-V quite heavily loaded and crossing the ruts can make for some interesting weaves!

I thought it was my car falling to bits  , with the front being so low and the back so high, also it was very windy. Scary

Seriously good Sun and Monday chaps, I think Nikki and I have about 1500 pics to wade through so there will be some in time if you dont mind waiting a little while, lol.

Top marks to all you guys who organised this event, My memory is poop for remembering names so I will thank you all for your hard work sorting out and organising a fantastic couple of days!

Ive come home with a few breakages (Less than my usual Kent bash, which is nice!)

After we finaly made it home, unloaded the van, had a bite to eat and a cup 'o' tea we were both so knackerd we went to bed, so this is the 1st chance I have had to send out my hearty thanks to everyone involved!

I would love to come up to the next one, maybe without so many cars (only brought that many for the conga!) LOL

When ive sorted out all the pics I will burn some discs and send them out to you guys if you PM me your addresses!

Hope everyone else had as much fun and enjoyed themselves as much as I did!!

Cheers everyone for a fantastic weekend!!

.....Chris

And your massive effort was well appreciated!

Big thanks to all that came along and made it such a great day. :D

Got a few breakages to sort out, my favourite being the worn out gears on my ta03, I think I must have done around 200 laps of the circuit, the tyres are worn through too

This pic just about sums up the track action...

Hi All, This was the first bash we had attended and would like to thank everyone, old friends and the ones we met for the first time, for making us welcome. You are a nice friendly bunch and we look forward to meeting up with you at future bashes. Thanks again for a really fun day.

Didn't realise Snetterton was so close to my parents' new house. Could have made a weekend of it! Still, maybe I'll give the proper circuit a bash with my track car. Needs an outing after it failed to get on the Nurburgring!

Erica has made a suggestion for the next big meet, a Luncbox balloon race. Basically tape an inflated balloon to back of your truck and a drawing pin to the front bumper, and let all badword break loose the last truck running with a balloon is the winner!
