Thought I would post another toy of my youth. This was tucked away too in the attic along with the super champ. Now that I think about it, I must have been spoiled! This one is near flawless. As it was, if you crashed this one at its top end....you pretty much wrecked the car. So this one I remember I babied a lot. I beleive this model is number 52 on the list.

I cant seem to find this car anywhere on google...makes me wonder how RARE is it?.....the manual also came with a bonus insert issue paper in English, not shown in photo (as the manual is both English and mostly in Japanese). Also original radio, server etc.

Do any of your professional collectors have some info on the collectivity value of this model?

I don't have one ;-)

You are correct it is no.52 and extremely rare sister to 42 the original liveried 956. I have a bunch of 956s, but all in the original livery.

nothing on ebay...only the 1/24 perliant newman model kit....which almost looks like this kit.....but not the same. Mine is the 1/12 drivable version. Anyway, if you guys get some info, it would be much appreciated. I know mine is no longer NIB, but in my defense, the car is spotless, all orig, hardly used (literally less than 20 times), orig box, manual, radio control.....so it must have a value on its own in that respect. Just cant get info on it....very difficult.

I am not sure what you want, a valuation? Part of the reason you don't see a lot, is because many people consider 1-50 to be real vintage Tamiya. Sometimes things aren't worth an absolutely fortune just because they are rare, they have to be in demand too.

Others collect 1-100, some people state Tamiya vintage as 1-150, this is all a matter of opinion and I am sure you don't want to know mine!

As a stab in the dark, even though you say this is in good condition it is still used and probably worth $250 as a maximum, but possibly less. Having the box and original radio gear helps. Anyone want to shoot me down? Or is it duck season Yosemite?

Keep well,

Paul.

its wrabbit season,

Thats great Paul, I had pretty much the same idea about the car. I do love it, I might even fire it up again after all these years this summer. I have not considered any value to this car for many years and I got curious.

Thank you for your opinion.
