Now for a long time Ive wanted a Stadium Blitzer and although some people may not class the Stadium Truck range as Vintage, the fact that the kits are very hard to get hold of I class them as nearly Vintage.

Like I mentioned I always wanted the Blitzer but looking now Ive also spotted a Stadium Thunder which looks to be very close to the Blitzer but with Green Wheels rather that the White ones on the Blitzer. Did they share the same tub etc just changing the wheels and shell?

The Stadium Thunder is the same as the Blitzer with some difference coloured plastics and a different shell (plus possibly different rear body mounts).

The Stadium Thunder also comes with a Sport Tuned motor, but I'm not sure about the Blitzer.

The Dyna Blaster is totally different to both, except it shares the same shell as the Stadium Thunder.

You can still pick up Stadium Thunder's NIB from eBay...

Cheers, so off the top of your head would a Stadium Blitzer shell fit on the Dyna Blaster?

and I take it that the Blitzer and Thunder are older than the Dyna

Just put big wheels on your BearHawk = rough approximation of a Stadium Blitzer. :)

Yes, thank you :( (Only joking)

Having said that tho, that is pretty much what the Stadium Blitzer was, wasn't it - A Bearhawk on Big wheels, slightly taller suspension and a truck body lol

Wider front set up too .The SB rear mounts look further foreward than the ST ones?

You'd have to mod the body mounts to get a Blitzer shell on a Blaster but it wouldn't take much to get it on.

Sounds like you and me are on the same wavelength. I have a real stadium truck thing going on at the moment and have the Blitzer and the Thunder.

When the Thunder arrived I noticed the bodyshell was the same as the Blaster so I painted it red as a sort of poor man's Blaster.

I'd dearly love a Blaster too but they rarely pop up on the bay. :(

They are but it's the same mount. Its mounted on the front of the shock tower on the SB whereas on the ST it's mounted on the back of the shock tower.

Got pics of both the Blitzer and the Thunder? :(

shouldn't be a problem if its not the hard shell, as with the see through shells the mounting holes aren't pre-drilled are they?

So I should be able to mount a SB shell on a ST.......

Yes, you'll definitely be able to do that mate.

With a small amount of work I think you could fit either shell on any of the three chassis. The Dyna Blaster is longer wheelbase than the other two, and the body mounts are in completely different positions but as the shell is shard between the ST and DB, it obviously does fit...

You're other option is the TR-15T - which shares the same shell as the ST and DB, but has totally different mounts again. My DB has the shell painted and decalled the same as the TR-15T - an electric version!

I know it's not the point of the thread, but something I found out through trying... The Bearhawk has a different gearbox to the truck versions.

That was annoying :(

Nice, Im currently looking at a Stadium Thunder which looks pretty complete but will need a new shell and I feel the Blitzer is the better looking out of the 3 truck shells imo but I'll see what happens

Thanks for all your help so far on the subject - Cheers everybody :)

The wheels are RMP Talonz and the tyres are Pro-line Speed Hawgs... the wheel hubs are slightly wider than the stock hubs, so the fronts (or rears - I can't remember) may need to be modified slightly to get the wheel nut on - or you could use a shallower wheel nut...
