I apologize if this has been asked before, I couldn't find the answer. The Bruiser manual indicates the body color is Tamiya blue X-4. I would like to use a TS spray can instead, but I see there are several tones of blue. Which is the closest to X-4?

Here are the relevant TS blue colors:

TS-15 Blue

TS-50 Mica Blue

TS-51 Racing Blue

TS50 & TS51 are both metallics, X4 was a solid colour, so TS15 should be the closest match.

Thanks mate. However in Tamiya's official TS color chart, every metallic color is indicated by the word "Metallic". These two aren't (as opposed to other tones of blue such as TS-19 and TS-53). I've added this chart below. Cheers

Not sure about the racing blue, which I'd suspect is not metallic because racing green isn't metallic.

However, Mica Blue is pearlescent. It's very similar to Nissan Bayside Blue.

Don't go by the colour chart - only way to know exactly what colour you are getting is to spray the real paint, on the primer you are going to use. Lighter colours are somewhat translucent, especially red and yellow.

But I'd say TS-15 is the boxart blue.
