Also will anyone be bringing a video camera? I don't mind bringing mine along if needed, never filmed RC cars but I have filmed F1 cars so can't be too difficult I guess ;)

I'm sorry but I can't make it now. ;)

My brothers have called in a favour from me for Mother's Day; my Mum's just had a series of painful cancer treatment, so on this occasion I need to prioritise the family thing on Sunday to help make it a happy day. Have a great time, hope the weather's nice.

Really sorry to hear about your mum. All 3 of us send our best to you and your family.

Suzzy, we all wish you well and our thoughts are with you, this is my first Mothers Day without mine :( .

Looks like the weather is going to be better than our last bash.

All the best to sooz and family, hope you have a good Mother's Day

I will try to be there for 10am, but am very busy this weekend so might not stay very long. Will be good to see you all again :(

Been charging batteries in anticipation. Still planning to be there around 10, as long as she who must be obeyed and the monster are ready in time.

Interestingly my Vapextech 4400mah 8.4v ones are happily taking capacity when charged at 3amps after having been abused lately.

They just don't seem to appreciate being stored with any charge in them

Just sorting out the packs, had a bit of a break as we had to nip off and get some new pinions, as the Slash was over geared  ! Fixed the VLB, it had worn its tail out and was grinding it away at quite a rate!!!! Going to try and charge the 8.4V pack at a lower rate, see if I can get more in there and longer runs.

Will have the normal stuff in the boot but some of the naughty little cars have been eating chillies....... :) ?

See you all tomorrow and if there are any problems will post something on here in the morning.

We will be in a Blue'ish Honda Civic for anyone looking for us.

Well that was a cracking day, ran a few new built cars, the Lambo, Alfa and Subaru Brat, plus I didn't break anything  Great to see a couple of new faces, plus some old ones ;) Can't wait to see the vid of the ducatis!

Mia had a problem keeping track of the bikes running. Glasses and sunlight issue, so there is some footage (by me) of 1 running, and a very small amount of them both letting rip.

On the plus side I have some 26 minutes of footage now on my PC, so should be fun to edit. Surprised at how many cars are on it! :D

Now... How the heck do I find the time to edit it?!?! ;)

Had a great day, highlight for me was that insane Lunch Box, 3 E-Maxxs running together and the little Ducatis. Might shelve the F103 as its pretty hopeless on most tarmac surfaces I have ran it on and at not one point on Sunday I used full throttle!

I'd give it a good home! :PB);)

Actually, it was the first style of car in ages that the missus liked. Seems like I might one day get a Tamiya Ferrari F1 car after all.

Still can't believe how long the missus played with the FTO for. I did try to phrase that carefully to keep it polite ;)

Spent today being lazy and enjoying my 34th, so nothing started on the video yet. Might get my bruv over to help at some point

Well I have 2 brand new bodies for it (1986 and 1996 Williams) and being an F1 fan I am not sure I could part with it! I have an F201 Williams which I picked up on ebay but I haven't built it yet. They have adjustable ride height and 4wd so might actually go in a straight line whwn running!, however I am wondering if I will ever run it as they appear to be so rare for spares etc, but it looks an awesome build and a quite complex/compact design.

I was quite suprised at the BMW TT01 pace and handling for £85 (with lights) - its totally stock and not even ballraced, I bought it as a cheap car to run on wet tarmac as thought with slick tyres it would be fun alternative to risking my much faster TT01 Subaru on damp tarmac.

I have been tempted for a while to get a Venom GPV-1 motorcycle and after seeing those little Ducatis I am very tempted! I also have a Hornet, Mad Bull and Mini Cooper to build so hope to bring at least one of those next time.

Morning all,

First of all, thanks to everyone that turned up, it was great to see some new vehicles, the bikes were ace, it was fantastic to see an F1 car running, I would love to have a NASCAR but I think they would have even less control, more power than a F1 car, less down force and the most basic of chassis  !!!

Not too many breakages for us, a lose pinion on the RX-7, now fixed and a broken lower arm on the Rage. Learnt that I need to gear the Slash down more and reduce the punch on the ESC, that I need to make a better wheelie bar for the VLB and control my throttle finger better.

It looks like that we may have another venue across the road for on road, I forgot to check it out once we left, sorry. Any thoughts on the next one, when (soon!) and where.

Take care all

Matt.

Hi guys

just to say I enjoyed seeing all your cars and hopefully by the time of your next visit to Bristol I'll be able to bring something to run myself, also a Big thanks to Lemming for letting Curtis have a go on a couple of your cars, he really enjoyed it and hopefully found something to keep him out of trouble

It was nice to meet you Steve, and Curtis was a superb driver - better than me with the drifter!

Look forward to catching up and seeing your cars at the next meet

UNBELIEVABLE!!!! (for me that is)

The video is now up here.

Got to be a record for me to produce a video withing 6 weeks, let alone 2 days. I even had my Birthday yesterday so did nothing.

Please comment and let everyone know what all the vehicles are

Steve

EDIT: Apologies to Rich! Seems I missed the footage of the Subaru Brat running... Sorry bruv. Will add it to the next one.............

Top work as ever!

The cars that were mine and the good ladies were as follows:-

Slash (now 6.5T Brushless 8.4v) :):):P

Bandit VXL 8.4v

E-Maxx (White)

Supra TT-01D

RX-7 TT01D with full LEDs (Karan's)

Lunchbox (10.5T Brushless) :P:)

Hotshot 17X2 (karan's)

Steve, I'm sorry I did not tell you the VBL had that much speed, poor thing, that's the VBL not you!!!!

I must take the blame for the Slash and Bandit being a low flying upside down objects for most of the day and I know that you have more footage of my special style of driving plus me getting some exercise!!!!!

Glad you guys enjoyed it. :)

Will definitely have to put together a "missing footage" video.

Ran out of space and song to add any more. Got some spiining vehicles (including slash, bikes etc) and also more running footage (Subaru Brat, Lambo on normal tyres etc). :)

Will see if I can get the time together to do it soon

Steve

Just hope the PC doesn't defeat me...
