k i just got a m-chassis [mo3] with a rover mini cooper body and i noticed the dampers were really hard and would probably not absorb anything.

any tips?

Yeah, I think the stock dampers are pretty crud so I am looking to replace them. I was wondering if the TRF Fluorine ones would fit well, as they look almost the same size. I'm too lazy to try them on the M03, anyone tried?

also does anyone know how many turns the stock motor ont the mo3 chassis has?

oh and i was just working on my car and took out the shocks and if u take out the rubber pieces in the shocks and put some wd40 in them and the screw it all back on with out the rubber piece it works much better and their much softer.

I have the blue TRF shocks and 5mm alloy ball ends on

my mini and they fit perfectly and work great!

the stock motor is a 27t one (VERY SLOW)

Ive got a 14x4 motor and it flies

but remember to get a ESC that can handle the motor you buy!!

Slow with the stock motor? Is it ballraced? Mine is plenty fast enough - it's getting any grip that is the problem! Yours must be totally mad with a 14x4 in it!

wow i had the worst day today:<

so i decided to run my car after its been raining two day and now its dry and i was turning the front wheels(frontwheeldrive) and they kept lockink so then i decided to try to run it and the motor spun but the gears were not. then they started to spin but made really loud sqealing noises and the gear wore down so i got a new one then i stripped the car and didnt see anything wrong! anyone know whats wrong. plz help.

Some obvious things to check:

Is the pinion tight on the motor spindle?

Is the motor back in the correct mounting holes for the pinion?

Are all the gears meshing OK?

Did you put the drive shafts back in - really stupid question 8-) !

Yeah, I have an M03 mini which is currently being restored. Another thing to check is that the dog bones are able to spin freely, as I had a problem with this at certain steering angles.

Ballraced, carbon gear shafts, and foam wheels[:D]

I was happy with the original speed at first but I

decided to see what the car could do!

Only a little slower than my TG10 nitro car!!

BTW dont get the eagle tuned gear set

(stripped the gears on my first outing)[:(!]

Other than what Gruntfuggly has already suggested

can only say to check that the bearings on the

gear shafts are in properly and that they are ok.

Good luck[:o)]

Sounds like something might be inside the gear case. I would suggest taking it all apart, cleaning it out and putting it back together again. this is a good way to get to know your car anyway...

I just got my first mini thru ebay win - but I am waiting on some parts before I can get it going.

You can't really upgrade gears except putting a ball diff on m-chassis, any 19-27 or stock motor would be ok, hotter ones would give too much wheelspin.

Cheers
