Mardave Meteor ?

Hi guys

Just purchased this off Ebay

Can i assume that this driver isnt std ? Its taped in. Im restoring it for the shelf so would like it back to factory spec. If the driver is std then ill paint it and leave it in.

The driver is standard and yes it is just taped into the body. It looks almost factory standard as it is, it looks like it just needs the battery cup that's had the end cut open to be replaced with an unmodified one.

I didnt no they have drivers,mine didnt have one when i got it

I painted mine silver just before I (foolishly) sold it in about 1989/90 - had to look twice but isn't my old one though, that paintjob is far too good .

Seriously though, the drivers are like rocking-horse poo - that's the only other unmolested one I've seen in years apart from the BNIP one that I have.

I had one of these a couple of years ago with the same driver in, it made me chuckle a little as it looked like he was wearing a welding mask rather than a helmet!
