Other tyres for XC

I want some more grippy tyres for my Touareg. Don't want to cut blocks off the BFG's though. Might jinx the AT ones on my 1:1 car []

Are there any that fit the original wheels?

If not, what are the best mud tyres for 2.2" buggy wheels?

I don't think there are any tires that fit the stock rims. You can try soaking the stock tires in WD40, it makes the tires more grippy. I have seen HPI Nitro Super Star wheels used with some Dirthawgs I think, I cannot remember. But I think using 2.2's on this car is stressing the drivetrain a little.

I used some ProLine Dirt Hawgs on Kyosho Super Ten GP wheels (I think recently discontinued) on my S-10 for a while. The tires are only about 8mm taller and 10mm wider than the BFG tires. The HPI Super Nitro wheels will also work with these tires.

On these site are some tips to make your xc chassis have some more grip. Ony one thing the site is in German so you'll have to translate it into english.
